Update Spring to Latest Version
Updated spring to latest version. There were a couple bugs in the manual tests outstanding since at least 1.6.0 that will require additional future investigation.

On December 29, GitLab will be migrating to the next generation Container Registry, which implements automatic garbage collection. See KB news article for edge cases in which you could need to rebuild a container after the migration.
