adds table styles

Currently, tables in documents are using the default styles which leads to overly dense content and poor readability. This MR increases the whitespace used around tables and makes some similar improvements to the whitespace in good/bad shortcodes.

This doesn't address how tables are displayed on narrow screens but a solution to that issue need to be found in the future.
